The purpose of the laboratory:

The education and training of the NI ELVIS (Educational Laboratory Virtual Instrumentation Suite) system, also conducting researches using the said system.

The competencies of the laboratory:

Development, education and research on NI devices.

The supporters and partners of the laboratory:

• The laboratory was established and operates with the support of National Instruments Hungary Ltd and the HURO-0901/028/ 2.3.1. „E-Laboratory Practical Teaching for Applied Engineering Sciences” tender.

The main equipment and tools of the laboratory:

• The laboratory was established by the National Instruments Hungary Ltd. It provides 10 workstations suitable for measurements with NI ELVIS I, II and II+ devices. The laboratory has enough room for 20 students to work at a time. The NI ELVIS (Educational Laboratory Virtual Instrumentation Suite) product line - developed and produced by the company National Instruments - is unique on the market. It is a computer based designing and prototyping workstation, developed specifically with the purpose of the practical education of physics and engineering classes. As a result of this design mindset, the device combines every function required for a measurement laboratory.
• The NI ELVIS is capable of efficient and spectacular testing of simple electrical circuits. The device can be used in tasks where measurements need to be done on circuits assembled on a breadboard. It makes tests involving multiple measuring instruments convenient. The laboratory provides opportunity for work with further NI data acquisition devices (myDAQ, cRIO, USB DAQ, etc.) in projects or research tasks.
