Purpose of the laboratory:
The purpose of the laboratory to introduce basic principles and technologies of renewable energy utilisation for buildings and indoor heating, cooling and electrical energy consumption.
Hybrid multi-circular, modular heat-pump system is operated in this laboratory. This system is also suitable for filling air, water and other heat transmitting medium (anti-freezing, thermo-oil, salt solution). Its embodiment also enables the application for two-pump and/or soil-sound, pelvis systems or systems to be realized by using large-sized stores. Besides carrying out energetic measurements the heat-pump system is also suitable for carrying out measurements,regarding the scaling of the heat pump by changing different parameters (e.g. use of oil, pressure degrees, temperature degrees, quality of gas). The maximum gas content of a heat pump circle is 2.99 kg. Apparatuses are integrated into the appropriate part of the building and so its application for a flat having an area of 60 m², a smaller office-block or smaller industrial facility.
Competence of the laboratory:
The laboratory was established thanks to the EU-funded project “HURO/0802/155_AFA „Hungarian-Rumanian Research and Development Platform for Supporting the Building of Intelligent Buildings” and with the cooperation of the European Regional Development Fund. Pieces of apparatus utilizing renewable energy were built with the cooperation of ENERGOTEST Ltd, while the measuring and automation objectives have been realized by means of instruments and pieces of software of National Instruments.
