(1) review the latest results on their topic; and

(2) select the model, technical solution, and best suited to the tasks

(3) performance measurement (validation) logic.

The literature review should follow the general formal requirements of the dissertation: Arial 12 pt, single line spacing.

The completed work must be completed in a minimum of 30 pages, using a minimum of 50 (qualitative) literature references and shouls be uploaded to the MSc Diploma Thesis I (MK5DIP1R15RX17-EN) course in  the E-learning system.

MSc Diploma Thesis II

Autumn semester:

MSc training program in English, 3rd semester (starting in the autumn semester): First part of the diploma project is to be completed and submitted in the second drawing week. The aim is to study the relevant literature and select the appropriate models. Assessment by the supervisor is based on: the student has indeed processed the appropriate amount and quality of literature, has indeed chosen the appropriate models and procedures in accordance with the tasks of the thesis. (Subject name: MSc Thesis II)

You have to submit the current version of your thesis. We expect, that you have done extensive literature research (minimum 30 scientific papers), and you have selected the models and method for your thesis.

You have to submit minimum 25, maximum 35 pages pages, Arial, 11 pt, with table of contents and page numbering. This document will be the part of your final thesis.

MSc Diploma Thesis II (MK5DIP2R15RX17-EN)

The grading will be done by your internal supervisor.

One semester before graduation after finishing of Project of Mechatronics and Thesis I subjects you have to report your progress online. The aim of Project of Mechatronics is to select the equipment, the methods that are intended to be applied to the development. Moreover, it includes the procedure of their construction and testing too. Furthermore, the aim of subject called Project of Mechatronics is to establish such a development environment that will provide to achieve the goals determined in the Thesis.  The aim of the subject Thesis I is to produce literature models to the Thesis by reviewing literature.  As a reminder: In master programs a planning process includes the followings:

- To select the most suitable model from the literature that the best fits the goals of the Thesis,

- The performance evaluation criteria as well as validation logic must be selected from literature.

- Self-contribution includes (1) setting up appropriate development environment; (2) harmonization the parameters of the model to the goals of the Thesis; (3) implementation validation logic on the results of the model; it must be demonstrated that the most appropriate model has been selected.

Note: at PhD level creating a new model is required. It is going to be the basis of PhD Thesis.  Therefore, the 15-minute online presentation must include the following parts:

1. Introducing the issue and objectives of the thesis with defined parameters. Maximum 2 slides.

2. Technical details of achieving the objectives by introducing the selected development environment. Maximum 2 slides.

3. Justification of models selected from the literature and the procedure of selection. Maximum 2 models and maximum 4 slides.

4. Presenting validation logic selected from the literature Maximum 2 slides. 5. Activities and tasks of thesis, a ‘roadmap’. 4 slides Student activity is assessed on the basis of the quality of general proficiency in literature (40%), selected models (40%) and validation logic (30%).

A student must achieve at least a minimum 71% for successful completion of thesis subject.    The suggested amount of literature be examined is 30 pieces of conference or journal publications and minimum 10 pieces of similar project website.

Before performing a presentation the following materials have to be uploaded on e-learning system:

1. the slides of presentation with reduced-size video (maximum 10 MB) if there is any.

2. a reviewed list of references

3. a summarized list of literature which is part of the thesis

The criteria contained in point 1 and 2 are required to decide the final grade of Project subject.

Point 3 is required to decide the final grade of Project subject.

IMPORTANT!

1. Who does not follow the IEEE format exactly the report will be automatically rejected.

2. Who does not comply with the formal and content requirements of the PPT presentation may have his / her report rejected.

Evaluation process:

- Content summary: 50%

- PPT and presentation: 50%

0% to 60%: fail

61% to 70%: passed

71% to 80%: satisfactory

81% - 90%: good

91% to 100%: excellent

Evaluation criteria:

1. Compliance of the content summary and the PPT lecture material with the formal and content requirements.

2. Professional standard and use of technical terms.
